There are two major routes directly into St. John's from the Trans Canada Highway: via Kenmount Road and via Pitts Memorial Drive. The suggested route from Kenmount Road to Waterford Manor is highlighted in blue, and the suggested route from Pitts Memorial Drive is shown in orange. The purple route connects Waterford Manor and St. John's Airport. Waterford Manor is situated within easy reach of many popular St. John's attractions, numbered in red on the map. Within walking distance is the beautiful Bowring Park (1), with its many walking trails and recreational facilities. A short drive in the opposite direction will put you in downtown St. John's (2), an area well known for its culture, unique stores, and vibrant nightlife. For sightseers, a little past the downtown area is Signal Hill National Historic Park (3), and just before downtown is an access road to Cape Spear National Historic Park (4), the most easterly point in North America. For shoppers, the Village Shopping Centre (5) is close by.

Some other attractions include Quidi Vidi Lake (6), the Avalon Mall Shopping Centre (7), and Pippy Park (8).
